SIPPITY Hot Cocoa Mix-Every Flavor Tells A Story

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 3/11/2016
I’m a senior at Marshall High School in Little Rock Arkansas and today in our entrepreneurial class our teacher assigned us a project that requires us to pick a consumer goods product to study and make a class presentation. I chose Sippity hot cocoa mix not only because I like it but because I believe it is the best hot chocolate mix in America.

In researching the brand, I found that its brand positioning is quite unique in that the company encourages consumers to become part of the brand. Consumers are encouraged to send in their photographs drinking Sippity hot cocoa mix for a chance to appear on the cover of one of their brand flavors or to appear in the “Mug-Shots” section on the back of each hot cocoa mix box. Consumers are also encouraged to submit recipes and testimonials, which might appear on the company website.

Having been a consumer of Sippity hot cocoa mix and tasted every flavor I decided to include in my research my experience with the flavors since every flavor tells a story. For example, the chocolate flavor is the preferred choice among Sippity customers because of its creamy chocolate taste. The chocolate marshmallow flavor is a trendy favorite among its consumers because of the way the creamy chocolate is married with the comforting taste of marshmallow. Sippity chocolate cinnamon hot cocoa is my personal favorite because I like the way the rich creamy chocolate taste is brought together with the sweet, spicy taste of cinnamon. The chocolate raspberry flavor is absolutely delicious. This flavor brings together the luxurious taste sensation of raspberry with the rich creamy taste of chocolate. When you think of hot chocolate you think cold weather. To satisfy the needs of the consumer Sippity hot cocoa mix offers two seasonal flavors. Pumpkin Spice, which is always an autumn favorite, takes the nip of the cool night away with its warming blend of nutmeg and cinnamon spices while Sippity chocolate peppermint hot cocoa mix is sure to warm your body from winter’s harsh sting.

Two weeks later I made my presentation to the class. A week later I received an A+ for my research and presentation. To be honest, I don’t know if my research and presentation earned me the A+ or was it the fact that I let all members of the class taste each of the Sippity hot cocoa mix flavors while I was giving my presentation that earned me the A+.
