Flying High With KEMOBASE Gluten Free Coffee

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 7/2/2016

All of us have had dreams, which when we awake we dwell about. Last night I had such a dream. I dreamt that I was on a business trip in London with about seven of my business colleagues and staying at the Mayfair Hotel. On the day of our traveling back to the United States we all agreed to meet at the Sky High pub in terminal four at London’s Heathrow’s airport. I was third to arrive around 8 AM for our 11:10 AM flight. After I exchanged small talk with my two colleagues I took a single serve packet of Kemosabe gluten free coffee from my jacket pocket and made myself a cup of coffee from the pitcher of hot water the waitress had left on the table for my colleagues to prepare their tea. “Do you always travel with your own coffee?” Bill asked.

“Yes,” I replied. “I’m on a strict gluten intolerant diet and since I can’t trust restaurants to have gluten free coffee I bring my own.”

“Very well, then,” Bill replied, as he watched me empty the packet of gluten free coffee into the coffee cup. “That makes sense.”

Over the course of the next hour the rest of my colleagues arrived. Many simply had coffee or tea and pastry for breakfast while others had a full course meal. Around half-nine, as the British say (9:30 AM) I had a desire for another cup of chocolate cinnamon gluten free coffee, however when I reached into my jacket pocket for the single serve envelope none was to be found. Relaxed I then reached down for my suitcase only to realize I had left it in the hotel. Panicked, I told my colleagues what had happened and they wished me well on my efforts to return to the hotel, pack and return to Heathrow all within the next ninety minutes.

To make a long story short, I was able to catch my plane just as the flight attendant was closing the door. As soon as my colleagues saw me walk into the coach section of the plane applauses broke out hailing my accomplishment of having made the flight. Thirty-five minutes later I was relaxed and enjoying my third cup of Kemosabe chocolate cinnamon gluten free coffee of the day, only this time I was flying high.

At breakfast I told my wife and two teenage children about my dream. Halfway through discussing the dream’s meaning, my youngest son, Barry, interrupted and stated, “You know what’s really weird Dad?”

“No. What?”

“Of all the flavors of Kemosabe gluten free coffee we have, you’re drinking the same flavor that was in your dream. Chocolate cinnamon.”
