Here’s One Thing You Don’t Have To Worry About-SIPPITY Hot Chocolate

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 3/3/2016
It’s a little more than a week before our family begins our annual spring break pilgrimage to my parent’s house in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Every year the kids look forward to getting away from the cold of La Crosse, Wisconsin to the warmth, sunshine and pool of their grandparent’s house. What they don’t look forward to is the 2 day-975-mile car trip that usually takes us about eighteen-hours and costs us about nine-hundred dollars for food, hotel and gas, roundtrip.

It’s towards the end of this week that I begin packing for my three kids, Billy-age 11, Jeff-age 9 and Karen-age 6 and of course, the “big kid”, my husband, Dan. Haven knows how I do it each year. And now as the kids are older they want to take their skate boards, game boards, laptops and dolls. I’ll tell you my anxiety level is off the “charts” come Friday night. Literally the one thing I don’t have to worry about is what to give the kids as a treat during our car ride and in the hotel room after dinner. It’s Sippity hot chocolate. They absolutely love it and by bringing our own I save money and the kids are happy. I usually bring about a half dozen chocolate raspberry single serve envelopes for Billy, six chocolate marshmallow single serve envelopes for Jeff and another six chocolate flavored envelopes for Karen. I take a few of the pumpkin spice envelopes for myself because this flavor seems to calm my nerves from the “adventures” of the car ride. Dan loves the chocolate peppermint so I usually bring a box for him.

About an hour after we left La Crosse, the kids wanted their Sippity hot chocolate. I quickly poured each of them a container full from the thermos’s I had prepared before we left and gave it to them so that I could return to my sleep. As I was trying to get back to sleep, I couldn’t help but think of the tag line for Sippity hot chocolate, “Comfort-In-A-Cup”. I thought, “Boy is that tag ever true,” as the three “little darlings” sat quietly in the back seat drinking their Sippity hot chocolate.
