Last week my wife of 52 years was extremely angry at me
for not taking my work boots off after I had been in the garage working on my
car and tracked in “some” dirt and oil. She was so angry that at the end of her
yelling at me she told me to “Go fly a kite”. Well this got me to thinking that
I have never flown a kite with my nine-year-old grandson, Bart. Later that day
I called my son and asked him if I could take Bart kite flying one-day next

“That sounds like fun. Can I come?” my wife asked as she
then took a sip of her hot chocolate from the cup she had in her hand.
“I was looking forward to spending some quality time with
Brad. Just me and Brad.”
“Well I know when I’m not wanted,” my wife stated as she put
the cup of hot chocolate back onto the saucer, got up and stormed away towards
To make a long story short, I made up with my wife and she
accompanied me on our kite flying day out with our grandson, Brad.
