I met Kristen about three weeks ago when I had to go to her
office to go over the plans for the building we were building on Seventy-Ninth
Street and York Avenue. Kristen was the chief engineer for Bouchard Steel
Company, the largest manufacturer of steel in the United States, and I was the architect
in charge of the buildings design. The moment I walked into Kristen’s office
and she greeted me “Sparks flew”, as they say. Tonight we were going on our
third date, dinner at The River Café, a romantic restaurant set on the Brooklyn
side of the East River overlooking lower Manhattan, with a view of the Statue
of Liberty to your left and the Brooklyn Bridge to your right.
“Well this has truly been and unforgettable dining
experience,” Kristen stated after her had taken her last fork full of poached
Nova Scotia lobster. “I absolutely love this restaurant,” she added. “It makes
me feel special.”
“Speaking of feeling special,” I stated reaching across the
table to take Kristen’s hand in mine. “You make me feel special.”
“I’m so glad you said that, Rick, because from the moment I
first met you, you have made me feel special.”
A minute after we had let our hands go and returned them to
our sides, the waiter approached to clear our dishes. “Any dessert, tonight, Madame?”
he asked with a French accent.
“Looking across into Rick’s eyes, I replied, “Not tonight,
sir. I think we’ll have some at home.”
It was about a twenty-minute drive from The River Café to
Kristen’s apartment on Twenty-Fifth Street and Madison Avenue, and during the
entire time Kristen was cuddled next to me nibbling on my ear. “You know what I’m
in the mood for?” she whispered in my ear in a low sexy tone one block from her
“No,” I replied, not knowing what next to expect.
“A nice tall glass of Sippity iced flavored hot chocolate,”
she answered. “Why don’t you come up for some?”
