Tip A Canoe And KEMOSABE Gourmet Coffee Too

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 9/26/2016

“Jason, I’m really looking forward to our canoe outing this afternoon,” I started to my new boyfriend as he sat in my kitchen drinking a cup of Kemosabe french vanilla gourmet coffee. “I never been out on the lake in a canoe,” I added with excitement in my voice. “I’m looking forward to it.”

“It’s a lot of fun, Joyce,” he replied. “I’ve been going out on the lake in our family canoe ever since I was a little boy. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, particularly with a lady as lovely as you.”

“How do you like the french vanilla gourmet coffee?” I asked trying to divert the attention away from me.

“To be honest, Joyce, it’s the best tasting instant coffee I think I ever had. Strong french vanilla aroma, great taste and full bodied. Just my kind of coffee.”

“Since you like it so much, I’ll make a thermos to take with us on the canoe.”

“That sounds perfect,” Jason replied. “Well, if we’re going canoeing today we had better get started.”

For the next forty-five minutes Jason and I talked and enjoyed the early autumn scenery as we drove up route 100 to just north of West Point where Jason’s family had a summer house on Lake Mitchell. Twenty minutes after we unpacked we were headed to the lake with Jason’s family’s 15 -foot Sun Dolphin canoe atop our heads and Jason holding the thermos of Kemosabe french vanilla gourmet coffee. After we placed the canoe in the water Jason gave me a life vest, a crash course in water safety and instructions on how to get on and off the canoe. “Please be careful when you first get on the canoe Joyce, it can be a bit wobbly.”

After Jason placed the bags containing our lunches in the canoe, he turned to me and said, “Get me the thermos of french vanilla gourmet coffee and I’ll get on board first. Once I’m in the front of the canoe I’ll steady it for you to get on.”

“Be careful, Jason,” I stated in a concerned voice as Jason stepped onto the canoe only to have it begin to rock from size to size.

Just as Jason replied, “Don’t worry, Joyce, I’ve done this a thousand times,” the canoe began to shake violently from side to side. Dispute Jason’s efforts to steady the canoe, the canoe tipped to its side forcing Jason and the thermos of Kemosabe french vanilla gourmet coffee into the water.

To make a long story short, we eventually did canoeing on the lake that afternoon and had a wonderful time enjoying each other and the thermos french vanilla gourmet coffee.
