Turn It Up. Way Up. SIPPITY Iced Chocolate Raspberry Hot Chocolate

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 4/24/2016

“Yo Cyrus, you’re now the big man on campus,” I call out to my best friend Cyrus Almonte when I first saw him the day after he was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft by the New York Giants. Cyrus was a 6’ 5’ 285 lbs. offensive tackle that played for our school, Penn State University. He was All-American this past year and won the Lombardi award as the best lineman in America. “You’re going to the show, Cyrus,” I added, as I approached him to hug him. “You’re going to play for the New York Giants-The New York Giants! It’s time now for you to turn it up. Way up. My man!”

“Let me get this, Jalen,” Cyrus stated as he handed the student union food court cashier a “Tub” for two containers of Sippity iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate. By “Tub” Cyrus was referring to the slang word now associated with the image of Harriet Tubman who will be appearing on the face of the new twenty-dollar bill. “I don’t ever want our relationship to change, Jalen. You know why I bought these two containers of Iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate?”

“No.”

“Because these were the drinks we had the first night I met you on campus four years ago.”

“That’s right, my man.” Pointing to a booth next to Wells Fargo ATM, Jalen stated, “I remember. It was that booth right over there. “We sat there drinking our iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate and tried to pick up the two girls in the booth next to us.”

“Yeah, well thank didn’t work out to well, as I recall.”

“Man, Cyrus, your got drafted by the New York Giants in the first round,” I said with tremendous enthusiasm.

“Yeah, Jalen, my life is about to change forever. I’m scheduled to fly to New York tonight and join the team tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow! That’s so fast.”

“Look Jalen, you’re my best friend and the one thing that I’m worried about is that the excitement of New York, the media and the fans will turn me into somebody I don’t want to be. Can you promise me that you will also be true to me, by that tell me when I’m no longer me?”

“You, got It bro,” I said to Cyrus as we both raised our containers of iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate and touched them together.
