Your Best Defense Against A Sweaty Summer-SIPPITY Iced Chocolate Raspberry Hot Chocolate

Posted by Southwest Beverages on 8/20/2016

You just slipped on your pretty summer Ralph Lauren dress and felt refreshed from the shower you had just taken 10 minutes earlier. You feel energized and ready to face the day for it is Friday, the last day of the week, payday and you have a date tonight with a wonderful young man you meet a week ago. You step out of your apartment on Leland Avenue in the Bronx only to be met with, yet another, hazy, hot and humid “dog day” of August. You begin your twenty-minute walk to the subway but after just 5 minutes your body and face begin to fell sticky from the 94 percent humidity. You know you’re only going to feel more uncomfortable as you complete your walk to the subway and then stand on the crowded, hot train for another forty-five minutes until you arrive at your work destination-42nd Street in Manhattan. You arrive at the subway but before you get on the train you realize you must do something to combat the sweat that is now pouring off your face and body. You decide to stop at Bestie’s Cafe, get a tall container of Sippity iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate and sit to cool off.

No sooner had I left the bathroom, where I refreshed myself, then the sales clerk called out, “Sidney, your order is ready.” The cold radiating from the 16-ounce container of Sippity iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate onto my hands felt good as I made my way to a seat by the window overlooking the Manhattan Express bus stop.  “Humm,” I thought to myself as I took the first sip from the container of iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate, “this is so refreshing.” For the next ten minutes I sat by the window enjoying my iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate as I cooled off and watched the line for the Express bus to Manhattan grow. Suddenly, as the Express Bus arrived, it occurred to me, “Spend the extra five dollars today going to work and take the air-conditioned Express Bus to work.” Without giving it a second thought I grabbed my container of iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate, left the café and joined the end of the line for the Express Bus.

During the course of my bus ride into Manhattan I concluded that the best defense against a sweaty commute to work every day in the summer would be for me to stop every morning at Bestie’s Café, get myself a 16-ounce container of Sippity iced chocolate raspberry hot chocolate and enjoy it as the air-conditioned Express Bus took me to work.
